Default RPM problem

I have a 98 honda civic DX with a 97 LS engine Everytime it goes up to 5000rpm that car starts to buck really bad. And sometimes when im at a stop light to car just shuts off it happend to me twice on my way home from work anyone know what it might be?

You might want to check if you have enough oil in the car. If not then that might be a problem, also check if your o2 sensors are plugged in correctly. Those are some suggestions that fixed the same problems i had.

I just finish putting in the engine i got new spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, fuel filter, oil filer, i spend over $100.00 on a tune up! I do need a valve adjustment, you think that will cause the problem??
