Default tire rub

well, i lowered my car again for the summer...i also installed a skunk2 camber kit and put on new yokohoma tires. when i take a high speed corner or hit dips in the road my driver's side tire rubs on the fender wall. i thought it was too low at first, so i raised it up a bit. but the car is definitely higher than last year when i had no problems and i can see that the driver's side wheel is actually pushed out a little further than the passenger side. my guess is that the camber kit is responsible for this. anyone else ever have this problem before? or know how to fix it?

i dont think its an issue with being too low...if i rolled the fenders, i think it would still rub, except it would be on the metal of the fender rather than the plastic lining...the only contact is occuring right on the edge of the fender.

if i take a ruler and measure perpendicularly from the top of the tire...there is no space for the tire to tuck under the fender when i go over bumps

What springs are you using? You should probably look into some lower profile tires or different set of springs if it bothers you that much. Thats all I can think of at the moment. HIH

It's probably your tires. Every manufacturer is different, even though you got the proper size tire to go with your wheels (205/40/17) some tire models are bigger/smaller than other tires. A perfect example is the Falken Azenis size 205/50/15. This tire is considered one of the widest tire of it's size (comparable to a 215 wide tire). I've noticed that the AVS ES 100's are wider than most tires of the same size, so this is probably where you're experiencing the rubbing, just not considering it a factor.
