well I have no experience with this but I am guessing you need to find the wires that originally went to your horn buttons... and then modify them to fit your new horn button. I don't think the horn goes through the airbag on usdm steering wheels, but I might be wrong... hopefully someone has done this and can enlighten you

edit: what did you do about your SRS system? have you disabled both sides or what? Just curious. I think we need a wiring diagram

I had the wheel fitted at the store where I bought it due to time restrictions on my part and he just told me he couldn't keep the horn working. He deactivated the airbag in the steering wheel but my whole system had been de-activated previously due to an epu fault.

there is a yellow cable running up your dash. that is for your airbag.

I believe the wire all the way to the left in the cable is the horn wire. There is a big yellow plug at the end of the cable, open up the plug and you can get to the wire all the way to the left.

I took that wire and cut it, and sodered another piece of wire to it. I ran that wire all the way up to where my steering wheel would be, and attached it to a "shoe horn" piece I bought from my honda dealership. It is a piece that was used on NON air bag civic's (CRX's). That shoe horn piece is attached to turn signal and wiper housing that is behind the steering wheel. That shoe horn rubs up against the metal bottom of the new hub you install with the steering wheel. If you look inside the hub there is a wire coming out of the metal hub. That will be your power cable, and then all you have to do is ground out the horn, and it should work.

I did this on my steering wheel setup, and I was running the tekniq detachable hub also. So I took my steering wheel off as I pleased, but when it was on the horn and everything functioned like normal.
