Ok So I'm now trying to reinstall the stock head unit in my sister's '97 EX coupe...everytime I plug in the alarm control module that piggybacks on the radio, the alarm starts blaring. It does this regardless of whether the ignition is on or off, and I can press the unlock button on the remote as much as I want, and nothing happens. It's the stock Civic alarm.

WTF IS WRONG WITH THE CAR!?

Thanks guys, I gave up trying to figure out why it was acting retarded and just disconnected the battery. Worked like a champ.

Civic security being tied through the radio...how moronic!
