93 Civic - Check Engine Light ?

I have a 1993 Honda Civic DX model. 126k miles on it.

recently replaced distributor cap + rotor

check engine light now stays ON in the car and never goes away

does anyone know where to hook up the computer to diagnose?

One mechanic I took the car to said he could not find the plug where the computer connects to the car... ??

anyone know where that might be?

Thanks.. so looks like I don't need a special computer to check the codes...sweeet!

I did this type of self-check on my nissan maxima last year for transmission related issues.... and I knew there must be a way to check the code for FREE !

thanks guys!

All you need is a paper clip and a brain.

I second the motion on not going back to that mechanic. Did you go to a Jiffy Lube or somthing?
