Default Problem! Help!

My friend has a 93 Civic Coupe. We just finished installing a JDM ITR engine but the problem is that the car is a theft recovery and it didn't come with a hood, but looking at it from eye level the from the fender, it doesn't seem like the hood is going to close. The motor looks a least 2 in. higher than the fender from the valve cover. Has anyone ever encountered this problem, say with the B16 or B18 transplant? Does he have to go aftermarket, or can we cheat by cutting some hood supports? Im thinking hood scoop, any suggestions???

when me and my friend got finished with his b16 swap in his hatch, we looked at it from the side and it seemed as though the valved cover would hit the hood when closed too. Once we put the hood on and closed it, there enough clearance and it never touched. Remember theres a little hump in the 92-95 hoods, so that might be enough extra room. Never know until you try, so just get a stock hood and try it.

My C1 looks like it sits higher than the fenders also but the hood fits fine.

You'll be fine. At the very, very most you'll have to cut some skeleton out of the hood, and that'll be if the front end has been collision rebuilt or whatnot.
