Do the NGK-R spark plugs already come gapped? Should i reduce the amount of gap on them? doesnt chiltons manual say somewhere around .039 - .042? I measured gap and it was like .045.. Should i reduce it or just install them at that gap? let me know

 

i dont think they come pre-gapped brand new,..even if they did you should still pre-gap them to spec,..any plugs that come pre-gapped should still be checked with and gapped with a spark plug gapper

 

Gap them what the manual says. They come pre-gapped but are usually wrong so gap them right with a plug gapper. h:

As long as you check the gap before you install them. If it isn't gapped right, fix it. Do not run a wider gap then the factory spec with a stock ignition system.

I don't have to gap my plugs, ever.
