Default 1994 Civic DX Coupe Engine Question.

Hi. I am new to Honda I am formaly a Celica owner. I was wondering if the engine in a 94 civic dx is worth building up? Is there any kind of power that can me pulled out of it. If I was to put header pipe exhaust Intake High performance Msd Spark Parts and a 35 shot of nitrous?. I was just considering building this car up but wanted to get somoe input first. I already raced Mazda MX-6 And beat that at total stock. I dont know much about the motor what kind it is all I know is it is stock and it says 16V on it. Please let me know asap.
Thanks alot for all answers..

If you are looking for some great power you have to swap a b-series motor.

Your engine is a 1.5L SOHC 102hp@5900rpm, the motorcode is D15B7.

building that motor is kind of a waste of time considering what else is out there...

Off topic, where in NY are you from? And yes, that motor isn't really worth building. Swap in a B series, and you'll be all set.

You beat an Mx6 is w/ your stock D15b7?

Damn.....

I was thinking about builing up my DX (D16Y7) but its not worth it...

Swap for an inexpensive D series like the Y8, Z6 or ZC......then turbo, or swap for a B-series like the B16A2(Si motor), the B18B(Integra LS), the B18c1(Integra GSR) or c5(Integra Type R)....they have a lot more potential than your D15B7.....all-motor B series do well....or you can turbo them....
