counter-weighted shift knobs

My bro is getting me this knob. Its a 13.5 oz. I was just wonder what are ur opinions on counter-weighted knobs?

thats a good shift knob,..pretty heavy,..i liked it ,...i borrowed it from a friend to test it out (im a shift knob whore,..i got 6 of them :oh: ) ,..counter weights make shifting a little smoother and easier

somebody told me that counter weighted hsift knobsare hardon ur shifting system. Also leaving your hand on the shift all the time is also supposedly bad??:confused:

The Skunk2 one is about 15.5 Ounces.

I really liked it. But like Widebody, I like to change knobs. :)

So do I, but virtually every place that I've contacted is backordered on them indefinitely. I even contacted Skunk2 and they said that they couldn't keep up with demand. Oh well, guess I'll have to wait:sad:

For some reason there's a shortage all of a sudden.

ebay had an abundance of knockoff skunk2s,..i think skunk2 is the new "JDM" knob,..so thats why i think its on backorder

i love my OEM Ti knob :) heavier than skunk2 by a few onces.

i love my skunk2, tho bein winter and all, the damn thing is frikken cold as ice in the mornin to touch, and hot as an iron in the summer as well. but reguardless, i love my skunk2.

Is that the US console or the JDM one?

that is USDM

its acutally a USDM audio console and i pick it up off ebay from a guy that regularly sells em. i got it for 125 shipped. the jdm version has a different ashtray and the cigarette lighter is on the opposite side and it bulges out on the left hand side. if u have a usdm car, get the usdm one. its not a strictly jdm part. ask asiandoood for his pics on his, he has a real JDM audio console.

Most of the ones on eBay were sold by a seller I know, they are 100% real :)

Your ITR knob is HEAVIER than the Skunk2? I think you don't have the ITR one... but maybe the CTR one. The Ti R should be lighter than the Skunk2...

:werd: Hence the need for changing knobs often.

Or what I do is, use the Spoon wristbands on the knob for a few minutes until it either warms up or cools down :thumbup:
