CV joints
my passenger cv joint boot is leaking, is there any way of just buying the boot and putting it on to replace the old one?
|
Yeah, but it's a real pita and isn't too much cheaper than a new axle.
|
Is it the inner or outer boot? The inner is SUPPOSEDLY easier. I'll find out when I do mine tomorrow.

Sh1t, I need a bearing removal tool. This is gay...don't go to the dealer. They're going to charge you up the ass. Go to NAPA. Mine cost me $11.88 for boot, clamps, grease, etc etc

The factory boot is not even a HONDA boot, I don't think. I didn't see any HONDA inscriptions. A boot is a boot.
Oh, and I never go to the dealer unless I can no way find it somewhere else. Dealer wanted 0.42 each for exhaust manifold nuts, hehe. I got mine for 0.08 each |
