I need to know how to remove the key ignition solonoid (the part the key goes into)in a 96-00 civic. My uncle is a lock smith and he is going to rekey it for me.

The reason i want to re key it is, the car was broken into before and the ignition was tore up, so now i have 1 key for the doors/trunk, and 1 key for the ignition. I just want 1 key for everything.

If your uncle is a locksmith he will know how to take the lock cylinder out. Oh and if your uncle was a locksmith he'd know that you can't re-key a car's ignition as the tumblers aren't removeable since they are held in place during cylinder casting. You have to go to the dealer and order a new cylinder according to your vin number and it's about $300 for it if I remember correctly.

Don't post on here asking how to steal a car and trying to post some lame shit like that.
