another stupid question

how do 15's look on civics? the wheels im looking at come in 15 and 17 but not 16, so i figure i can save some cash and go for the 15's, but im affraid they will look shitty. if anyone has pics of there car with 15's or any suggestions, im all ears

not a stupid question, plenty of cars on here have 15s, just not mine.......

Outxider 11-11-2003 01:48 PM

15s on civics is imo the best combo, 5gen that is. 15s with 205/50r15 or 195/50r15.

i am only asking because i have been looking at the Rota Attack's in bronze and there is no way i am dishing out 1000 for 5-zigen. i am just worried it wouldnt look right or out of proportion to the rest of the car. but if you guyz say its cool, then i guess i will take my chances
thanks

Yea 15's look good...even better with a slightly lowered or slammed car...but basically it's what you like. I think alot of cars look good with stock 14's. But it's all MO;)

15's look fine. i run them as well as 16's. anything bigger than 16 looks awkward on the 5th gen and 6th gen civic.

I had 16s and thought they looked akward.

but then again, they were some :ghey: 16s :chuckles:

I concur...15's are prime. You need some sidewall. When you are hard cornering and pushing to the brink, something will give. Either traction (on a larger wheel that has no sidewall) or the sidewall will flex and keep you pushing through the corner (with a smaller wheel and sidewall). I HIGHLY recommend, at minimum, a V speed rated tire.

...Just for reference and smiles............I am currently running '89 crx si wheels (13) with 205/60/13 Yokohama AVS intermediates, no longer available  (I knew you would smile!). When I autocross, I drop pressure to 24psi/f and 26psi/r without rolling past the roll ring
