What should I offer?
'93 Integra LS, B18B1, 5-speed tranny, 4-wheel discs, cloth interior in pretty rough shape, 146k miles, JEEP CHEROKEE SIZED DENT IN THE PASSENGER SIDE. The car ran before the wreck, but needed work, and it still runs wrecked. It was my best friend's car, and he offered to sell it to me. He doesn't take very good care of cars. It HAS overheated before. It HAS been run low on oil, and leaks oil, and burns oil. I'll have to rebuild the motor. The exhaust is not in tact. Some of the wheel bearings are bad.
I have precedence over all other offers, but I don't want to insult a friend. What's it really worth? He told me to make him an offer.
I want the brakes and the drivetrain. I'll probably snag the seats, too.
Anyone want to make an offer on my spotless 2k mile-old .020 overbored D15B7 engine, freshly rebuilt head, P06 ECU, and CX tranny? I just put $650 into this drivetrain. I did it right. It's broken in perfectly, and leaks nothing. Comes with axles, good vynil seats, and a polished valve cover...

I was thinkin about half of that. I offered him $450 for the motor/tranny and he said he'd think about it... Then he was going to swap it into another civic ('93 4-door), but ended up getting a free Altima. He doesn't know how to disassemble it or part it out, so I'd be taking it off his hands. I also haven't seen it since the wreck. I don't think there's going to be any salvageable body panels, though. It's been wrecked and put back together 5 times.

I was thinkin' $700. After I take the seats, engine, brakes, suspension, tranny, harness, ecu... I dunno what is going to be left to part out. Maybe a couple pieces of glass, or a mirror, or a gauge cluster, but that's about it.
