Default b18c5 sensors

just about to help a friend install a b18c type-r motor into his 95 civic ex. looking at the motors, I notice that the excisting 1.6 sohc vtec engine has the purge control solenoid mounted to the back side of the intake manifold, where as the b18c5 doesn't look like it has one at all. also on the b18c5 there is a sensor of some sort mounted right on one of the intake manifolds inlet tubes, what is this for?? where the heck is the purge control solenoid? we are doing something custom and will be using existing 1.6 sohc harness instead of the b18c5 harness. so,I'm trying to figure out a few glitches.
the picture is a b16a2 intake but it has the same stupid sensor only all the way to the right.

ok,that looks like the gsr motor, the intake on my friends motor looks similiar to the one above. this motor (b18c5) doesn't have the purge control solenoid on top like that. also whats the other sensor for??

The EVAP on the C5 is actually located on the FIREWALL!

Looks like you'll be buying another one... sorry dude.

well,we could pick one up from the acura dealer,as long as it will work with his excisting canister. On the d16 the purge control on the back of the intake connects to the black canister on the lower right firewall. If the purge control solenoid is on the firewall of an integra than that would explain why we can't find it. I don't see how they can say that this was a complete swap without stuff like that. COULD WE JUST USE THE ONE THAT CAME WITH THE D16 SINCE WE'RE KEEPING THE SAME HARNESS ANYWAY?? I don't quit understand the purpose of the purge control solenoid.
Also, whats IAT?? I don't believe the d16 has one of those either.

IAT is Intake Air Temp and you have to use the teg one of those. I used my civic one for a while and it messed up a couple of settings... It's the white sensor on the right-most runner in the pic you posted above.

I don't know if you could use the EVAP from the civic. I don't have my EVAP plugged in and it works fine. :dunno:

I run an OBD1 ecu and I don't think it's necessary to have.
