The Integra died on me the other day. Had it towed to a garage because I dident have time to mess with it. Apperently it died because of a shattered rotor. The garage felt it was because the bearing in the distributor is bad. So i take it 2 hours away, drive it around all day and head home, no problems. Go to start it the next morning and it wont start again. I rip open the distributor and the rotor is in a buncha pieces!
Does this sound plausable... Rotor heats up due to a failed bearing, then cools rapidly in cold weather (in the 10's) which causes it to shatter..... Oh and the distributor is squeeling (again pointing to bad bearing). Sound believeable? Has this happened to anyone else?
