Just by coincidence, this is a daily trivia questions I received today from a coworker:
“Don’t worry.... Walk around. Look busy.”
Q: That, reportedly, is what an official of a certain company told its employees who were working in Iraq. What company is once again accused of being more concerned with making money than with getting anything done?
A: Halliburton. Halliburton employees told congressional investigators about the joys of a cost-plus contract: being paid high salaries to walk around aimlessly, drive empty trucks back and forth...and if one of those trucks had a flat, the company would abandon it and buy another truck for $85,000.
