Yeah its Johannesburg, for some reason i think he does speak afrikaans or atleast had something to do with afrikaans because he uses it alu - mini - um which is the way it is pronounced in afrikaans , although it can just be him.
English isnt really the "upper" class language, afrikaans is actually still the "main" language , not because of the amount of people who speak it natively, but because if you know afrikaans you would get along with everyone, they will understand you, with english only you will have a "harder" time getting along.
