Alot of ppl say there not very good.....i say they are good for the money so long as you dont have some awsome fully built motor.
If you havent done too many mods and just want a cheaper way of setting it up, a vtec controller is a easy piece of equipment to use. If you get your ecu re-mapped to your current set up then you can really fine tune your motor with it. Ive just installed one in my motor, despite of what loads of ppl said and i'm well happy with mine. I had a few flatspots and it really helped to smooth them out plus i was able to drop the vtec point alittle to 5300rpm.

Basically, if your looking for serious power and going a long way with your honda, get a stand alone unit.
If your just doing I/H/E and IM etc maybe some basic cams, then they can really help to smooth flatspots and tune the AFR.
