Check this link for the car specs and the MPG estimate from the EPA. It sounds like you are getting what you should for MPG.

I would do the normal stuff and make sure tires are full etc. Ever since gas went up, I've really started just driving with traffic instead of trying to pass everyone and I get much better gas mileage. They say that if you drive 55 instead of 65mph, you'll get 15% better MPG. If you are driving 80mph, you are really eating through the gas (especially with the A/C on and with a headwind going up hill in the winter time...).
