Anyways it does not lead to loss of torque. The thing it does is let your engine rev and lower rpms faster because of the lower amount of rotational mass. One thing you may have problems with though is that when you shut off the engine sometimes the lighter flywheel will not always stop at a gear point for the starter so you will get a quick grind noise once in a while when trying to start. Doesn't happen often but it does happen once in a while.
