My cable, when @home owned it, was uncapped up to 10mbps. I live in a suburb so I saw a true 10mbps if the site I was downloading off of allowed it (that's about 1000kb/s).

Comcast took over, and it went to 1.5mbps capped; but now it's at 3MBPS down capped, just like yours Joebenz. I get the 3mbps down too, again; assuming the site I'm downloading off of can handle that speed.

The upload *does* suck, but it's not as bad as the 128 or 256kbps that DSL used to offer, it's 356kbps up and people on my FTP regularly saw 40k/s when DL'ing from me, so they got the full 356kbps (plus some), which is good.

I wish it was as good as the new verizon 768kbps upload rate, but DSL is heavily dependent on your distance from the colo, the farther away you are the slower it gets. I, for one, am far as hell; so i guess I'll stick with cable still. =]
