The bore spacing is the same between the 83-87 D's and the 88+ D's, so yes, if you know what it takes to mount on a ZC head it is possible. It would be better to use a pre-88 brown cover ZC head, though.
For that matter, an entire brown cover ZC engine or a US 86-87 D16A1 would be a better choice with a suitable carb (or two.)
hey kai, correct me if im wrong, did they make any carb d16a1's? I did a little searching and i found out that the integras are this
86-87 F.I. D.O.H.C. 4 D16A1 CC=1590 75.00mm piston heads 11-501
88-89 F.I. D.O.H.C. 4 D16A1 CC=1590 75.00mm pistons heads 11-502
strange that last number is a different piston model # for a certain company if i were to buy pistons from them; if i could drop the 86-87 in how come i cant drop in the 88-89's? different mount specs?
