EDIT: I was looking around and i found a shop that listed install prices even if it is in another time zone, all the way in philly. this shop says they will swap a sohc for 500 bucks, so new d16z6 and manual trans = $750 or so, new internals rods, springs, retainers, pistons = $1000+, turbo kit= $1700, say $1000 for install, total=$4500 or so. Is it over kill to get new springs and retainers and such if i were only to run like 8 or so pounds of boost? people here have said i need no interal work for 8psi, but i would like to have no problems so i figure do it right the first time eh? If i do all this over time it won't seem so bad i guess.... maybe i don't need a turbo right now, just i/h/e intake manifold, cam gears. I been doning lots of looking on the internet.
