I just resigned from a local web board a few minutes ago because of some strange anomally that happens around here.

Jon (96JDMAccord) posted a thread asking about local shops and recommendations for the work on his car. The usual suspects were named and a few minor wildcards as well..nothing unusual at all everyone said their feedback about it and was being civil and adult about it.

Then comes the one post that was inevitable where a member of one of the larger groups on the board said something negative about a very major NW engine builder (he has a huge history setting records) because of one bad dealing and some small issues in the past. It turns into a 3 page bash festival suddenly and every shop mentioned in the thread ends up getting all the ugly little rumors about them mentioned and thrown around as well as personal insults as well.

Does this happen on your local boards too? I mean I like the board and the people on it usually and we all get along great in person but for some reason online everyone turns into assholes....wtf??? :thinking:
