So what's the deal with 07 mods?? I tried to get an AEM intake and they say the intakes they make are for only the 06 si...and they are currently developing a new intake for the 07??

I was looking at the Comptech supercharger also...again it states 06 ONLY in bold caps....

what's the deal???

Why would the year matter, 06 07 and 08 SI are the same. The body, the layout, the mechanics (well actually the 08 has updated tranny fluid and transmission fix - or so I've been told). A part labled as being for "2006 Civic SI" would and should fit a 2007 Civic SI no doubt. Maybe they say "2006 only" because they don't want people to get confused and buy the parts for say older model Civics. My guess it that these sites should say 06 and Newer when they're listing their parts.

No idea why they would specifically be developing an intake specifically for 07...when I see parts online they usually couple 06 and 07 parts together: "For '06-07 Civic SI" etc

And since that the 2008 is out now too, they should probably say "For '06 - 08", because surely, they all fit the same.

I actually called AEM... they said the short intake fits the 06-07, but the longer CAI (cold air intake) does not fit the 07. They are developing one specifically for the 07....

I get what you are saying, and that is why I am questioning about it. It's wierd.
