High Flow catalytic converter
I had been looking at a comptech header for my car, but right now it's not possible to buy one because comptech almost went out of business. I started looking at other things for my car, and one thing I was thinking about was a Random Technologies High Flow cat.
It's my impression that removing the catalytic converter can make the car sound atrocious, and can cause something like a ricer buzz. I don't have any experience with high flow cats whatsoever- does anyone have any idea how it will effect the sound "quality?"
oh, and by the way TheOtherDave, the tanabe medallion touring exhaust sounds really good- very subtle. it ISN'T loud or annoying, and is sometimes difficult to distinguish from the stock sound.

A high flow cat shouldn't affect the sound much, if at all. It won't attribute to rasp like a hollowed cat or test pipe will.
I haven't heard the greatest things about the Random Tech cat. I am running a carsound cat right now...no complaints and they are cheap.

thanks for the advice. I did, and I got a lot of help. In fact, I decided to order one. apparently you can get a discount if you join 8thcivic forums.
