Civic LX camber adjustments
 

Hey guys i purchased a 2006 honda civic and i need some help.My rear end on my car needs adjustment.I have 18's on it but its eating my tires up.what a cheap and inexpensive way i can correct my camber.I heard something about getting longer bolts and adding washers.but i don't know about how its done.Can u help or give me a website that offer kits at a descent price or a quick fix tip.

how low are you dropped?

I have 18's on it.I have not lowered it any.The tires sit inward intead of straight.What can i do to avoid buying a rear camber kit.

Need help with my 06 civic LX. I have 18's on my ride have not lowered it any but my tires sit inward instead of straight.I have eaten up the back two tires and have replaced them .what is causing this problem.

Put the 16" wheels that came with the car back on, and quit screwing around.

Short answer: Your camber setting is probably out of spec... and the car needs an alignment.

At any rate, they've been merged.

heh... I had a friend (Greg) who did the same exact thing with a 95 Accord. the car was JACKED, you could easily see the that the tires were bent inwards at the top.
the problem in that case was that someone had also lowered the car too much, so another friend of mine put factory springs back on the car. that basically fixed the problem.
In your case? You could always call the service department at the dealership and ask them what a good solution is. you might get some guy who just tells you to put the original wheels on, or you might actually get someone who will help you.
Don't want to talk to honda? Call a mechanic you know. ask them.
Ultimately, I think your answer is going to be that you need your camber adjusted. Heck, who put the tires and wheels on? take it back to them and tell them they jacked it up.
