Driving The new Civic Si

I got the new 06 Si when it first came out during Jan. Im still trying to learn to drive it smoovely. Ever notice the delay when switching gears. You have to wait like a second and a half before even the clutch out. I usually have to look at the meter or listen when the sound goes down than even the clutch out. Any pointers on driving the new si.ty

there is a slight lag with the drive by wire set up. What I find works best is when you are ready to shift, take foot of gas, wait just a 1/2 second then shift. If you quick shift you'll get the jerky motion.

So say you take this car to a 1/4 mile track, is it gonna suck ass?

nope. it just takes a bit of getting used to.

When I first drove the Si I noticed it too. (I though WTF have I forgot how to drive a manual?). I only have the EX and it took a few days to get the hang of it. probably more pronounced with the bigger engine and more hp.
When my bro-in-law drove my Civic he had to double clutch to keep from jerking. (he has an old Austin Healey so he is used to non synchro gears)

wow he had to double clutch it. I love double clutching on the si and down shifting. I love the car period its a beast.
