Default tradein my 01 Mercedes E55 AMG for a 08 TSX..??

my 01 E55 AMG only has 77k miles and is running like a champ. the only negatives are that i live in MI, and even with 18" snow tires the car can get stuck in snow. also, i avg. 16.5MPG during winter, and 18MPG summer. besides, i've had my AMG for a while, and getting sorta bored.

i dont want to get a winter beater and own 2 cars, so how does trading in the E55 for a 08 TSX sound? unfortunately, i cant find any manual 08s around here, so it'll be an auto. (but auto gets better MPG?)

i think TSX would do ok in wintertime with OEM tires b/c it's FWD. i'm hoping TSX would get a better MPG too.

but it'll be less fun to drive than the AMG, and 392lb ft of torque will be missed (dearly).

i can get a pretty good deal on a 08 TSX, and trade in quote from the dealer isn't bad at all.

I don't have a TSX (yet) but logically your arguement makes sense if you want a car better on MPG's and snow. I have a hard time believing that auto's get better mileage than the manuals, at least with my driving style. Also, the auto is going to eat up the usual slice of ponies which the TSX doesn't have a lot to throw around. I'd keep looking for a manual. Heck, get on eBay or something.

yeah look harder for a manual.

on the other hand, the e55 amg is a beautiful car.

I love hondas, but damn, those three letters, next to eachother, puts a smile on any car lovers face. I would say test drive one first, if you like it, go for it! Up to you!
