badass. I think you coulda fit a few more on there though!

It's my first day.
well yeah i could have, but they were for a friend of mine with a midget, so he only needed 4. i brought 2 extra cuz they all looked so nice, and 4 for the spec racer. no 16s otherwise it would have been like my birthday. In c stock of course i have to run my stock sized 16" wheels...race rubber aint close to cheap in that.
i had forgot the motorcycle straps i usually use for hauling tires too so i used electrical tape. I only live like 35 mins from road america now though so um..it was fine. promise.

there is a reason why they throw them out. after they've gone through a race they are hard as balls and don't grip nearly as well.

Agreed. They are probably harder than super balls. Unless you put some Traction V on them, but that is a pain to use.

they probably grip less than your street rubber. but hey you said you weren't going to use them so what do you care right and who cares of the voice of experience.

I don't agree with that statement, but ultimately it's not my decision. I gifted the tires to a very experienced autocross, (i would venture to guess more so than you me and louie combined) who was ecstatic.

Actually the Road Race compound is supposed to resist heat than the autocross compound in the Hoosier R3S03/A3S04. But still also think that street tires would be stickier than those heat cycled tires you got.
Street tires are made of a compound that will stay pliable longer than R tires. The oils in the tires do not evaporate as quickly because they have longer tread life. I just sold a set of VictorRacers for $25 and they were 4 years old. Those were hard as super balls.

Right which makes a lot of sense, since these guys are on the track for 30-45mins going balls out. But that is exactly what makes them hard as balls and not as sticky as street rubber that has several autox on them.

And autocrossing is not as abusive in some aspects on tires as road racing. Autocrossing you are cornering for about 5-10 seconds maybe? Road racing you are cornering for twice as much as twice the speed with more forces acting upon the car than an autocross car.
I know my autocross pressures go up about 2-5 psi. When I did a track day my tires went up 10-15psi on one session.

i just pit crewed last weekend for a 944 cup race team and their tire pressures were up 8-10 psi on the left side while only 5-6 psi on the right side as summit point is a clockwise track...we wound up lowering pressure of cold tires on the left to have more even handling throughout the race
