I haven't even heard of a few of those. I definitely think Prometheus and Avengers were pretty entertaining. Prometheus actually got me thinking a bit, which is rare for any movie. Looking forward to the new batman movie

True that! The local AMC theater is doing the entire Batman trilogy in IMAX, back to back to back. A little after The Dark Knight ends around midnight, The Dark Knight Rises will begin. It's going to a be a lot of... movie, but I'm really looking forward to it.

#4 also has many references to HP Lovecrafts writings which may be why it appears to have familiar themes from other horror movies.

This year has been pretty lackluster for movies IMO but you have a pretty decent list there, I haven't seen #1 yet so I'm going to reserve judgement on it.

Thanks. I think the year's had a bit of a slow start, but there's a lot of good stuff still yet to come. I'll be surprised if you don't end up liking The Avengers.

Just seems that if the best movies available are comic book movies through the year its a pretty sad year for movie offerings. Don't get me wrong I find them entertaining, but not what I would call quality.

Have seen 6 & 5...at home. Prometheus hasn't debuted in our base theater yet - I really cannot wait. The Avengers has shown here, but I keep missing the show times.

Eh, I wouldn't say that comic book movies are somehow less valid or are of lower quality then other genres. Sure, there have been some bad ones but every genre has its share of awful movies.

i only see a movie or three in the theater during the year, usually try to wait for something that is going to be "worth" the theater, such as avengers, which i saw.

the rest, i wait for them to come out on blu-ray and get them thru blockbuster.

i actually watch a lot of movies during the year, but they all came out about a year before :o

i want to see the sushi one, haven't even heard of it.

I guesss I look at them a bit different because they end up compressing 10 years of storyline into a single movie and it feels like it's robbing it in some way. I do enjoy some of them, but I think the hype surrrounding them partially lowers it for me as well.
