These were my first attempts at working with acrylic, which each attempt has become much better.

They could have finished better/cleaner, but I really didn't have time before the start of the trade show to do more. I need to get my portable shaper and some things down to my house from the wood shop so that I don't have to go up there every time I need to flush trim or edge shape something.


Also, these can be done in any color as well as change colors, flash, etc.

They are still pretty bright with the lights on. To make them more dim I can flame polish the edges and it will let more light out of the acrylic, or for more money I can add a dimmer to them.

Thanks for all the nice words. This is just the tip of the iceberg with these types of signs, and I plan to fully explore what I can do with them in the coming months

The size of the one pictured is 12.125 inches wide by 3 inches tall. The base is 15.125 inches long by 2.5 inches deep, but I have been changing the base design to make it more contemporary. Will post photos when I have a new one done. Probably be sometime this week.

I will do a test today, but I have seen them in bright sunlight and they don't seem to have a problem.

I haven't forgotten about you either Vin, I just have been out of town more than I have been in it over the last 5 months. Should slow down soon.

Andrew, Acrylic will take resolutions down to about .005 with the type of bit I use, so no worries on detail unless you have some ultra small lettering. That will have to wait till I have time to finish my "laser" build.
