    best way to transfer stuff from one computer to another?

    so i'm thinking about picking up a new laptop but dont want to lose all my pics, music, movies, programs, etc. what's the best to transfer everything?

    I bought a 2TB external HDD for this reason. Partitions include "Laptop Bckp" and "Desktop Bckp" so I can transfer one partition to the opposite computer.
    My sig was deleted?

    You will need an external HDD. The Windows backup tool works well if you're using >= Vista.

    hmmm i already have a 500gb external almost full but i can delete most of that crap. im really only worried about my itunes and a few programs.

    this will only work if you aren't changing your hardware (cpu/mb) other wise you can't just clone one laptop into a different laptop, specially if they are different brand or using different gen cpu/mb chipset.

    That's a good price. The 330 isn't quite as fast as the 520 but going to any SSD from a HDD will be like going from an Integra automatic sedan to a 911 turbo S
