just a tip for anyone looking to buy an lcd/plasma : check out http://www.drplasma.com they have cheap prices, no sales tax, and free shipping. i've gotten a tv from as have a few of my coworkers and we're all very happy with them.

and the xbox does do 1080p now (the games are actually upconverted, not native) with the fall update. it looks gorgeous on my 40" samsung.

Right now, I just have 2 tall speakers (3 speakers in each tower) running to a simple 5.1

PS3 demo stands use a 23 inch monitor I believe. I'm willing to bet money that there's not a 1080p, 23in monitor in production.

It's a good time to purchase a 720p large screen TV. Stores are making room for the new 1080p sets coming out this year. This is the year of the 1080p.

If so, please, please see the ps3 in 1080p. I have never, ever seen clarity like it. Even the logos were completely sharp, not pixelated at all.
