There are some real selfish reasons someone might consider either to have, or not have kids. Whether it be wanting someone to take care of you when you're old, broke and wearing depends, or not wanting to throw all your income down the parenting money pit. I think it's OK for those reasons to factor in, as long as you're honest with yourself about it. I guess it has been a convention of society since forever that your life is incomplete unless you procreate, and some people still hold on to that convention. To me, it doesn't factor into the decision one bit.

Make whatever decision fits. It's nobody else's business.
