hi,i have a 94 gsr w/80k mi. almost everytime i start the car up there a grinding noise..does anybody know what is't coming from....thanks

Try to help us out by narrowing down the location. Open the hood & have someone start it while you listen. The location of sounds is really deceiving when you're sitting in the driver's seat.

Could be anything from busted gear teeth on the flywheel, or bad bearings in the alternator, or even valve clatter...
