Default Tire size....no drop

Whats up, its been a while since Ive posted. Well my question is about what tire size I should go with next? I have Enkie cdr-9 and they are 16x7. I dont plan to drop my car so I want to feel in the wheel gap as much as I can without getting the "chunky tire" look. I had 205 /40 and it was too much gap? Please help with any suggestions....pictures if you can post. Thank You.

You need to maintain the factory overall tire height. Otherwise your speedometer/odometer will be off. If you don't care about that, then go ahead and put taller tires on it. I'm not aware of any way to recalibrate our speedo's, as you can with domestics.

Okay first off--it's Enkei.

Right now your tires have a sidewall height of 3.2 inches. You can go to a 205/45 which wil lstill fit reasonably well and at the same time increase your sidewall heights to 3.6 inches.

I would also take the opportunity to upgrade to a better tire than the Kumhos (I'm assuming you have the 712). You can get the Yoko AVS ES100 in 205/45-16 for $78 a piece from tirerack.com right now.

Actually the tires he has right now are a good bit shorter than stock. 205/45-16 will be closer to the stock diameter.

Exactly... but I think the question is, "how tall can I go, to fill in the fender gap". Please clarify Heinz, but I'm under the impression you want to know if you can go with something huge, like a 65 series tire?

why would you want thick ass tires like that? Your going to first off screw up your whole spedo and tach because your going to be way off from the stock tire / rim dimensions. Secondly your car is gonna look like a 4x4 with the huge tires and will still have a big feder gap. Don't do it

Dude, your speedometer is off now. Hondas are notoriously optimistic
