Default 00civic si ctr or skunk2 cams

this weekend i choose ctr cams over skunk2 cams my set up is ctr cams, revhard springs and retainers, str cam gears and mugen ecu for a really good price let me know what you guys think. i took ctr beacuse i heard that skunk2 overlap and that will screw up my engine. later

Should have went with the skunk2. Had mine for 10K...not a single problem.

how much was your ecu? I thought those things were like $1200?

Overlap will not in itself destroy the engine, no way. In fact, high horsepower N/A builds use high overlap cams because they can make more power if the engine is built for it. On the other hand, using high overlap cams in an engine that hasn't been properly built and ported will be of little benefit.

I just found a chart listing cam overlap values for various stock B-series cams. It said the CTR has 28 degrees of overlap, for reference a second generation B16A (SiR-II) has 22 degrees of overlap.

I'm guessing he means a Mugen knock-off chip. You know, the ones that make you run super rich.
