Default 98 civic headlamp

Does anyone have a good technique to get the bulb out of the drivers sideheadlamp with the frekin power steering resevoir in the way?

Oh, that's a b*tch, even for the 5th gen's. I think you can try to move the PS tank up as much as you can... not sure about 6th gens, but the other option for me was to take out the headlight...

its really ez!!!!!! Did you read your manual?

Anyway, all you have to do is pull up on the resevoir and unclip the hose attached to it. Push it to one side and let the resevoir rest on the clip it came off of. Change your bulb and reverse order on the resevoir.

If you need pics I can take'em tonite. Let me know, but just reread your manual.

its a major pain, even if you slide the PS resevoir out of the way....its not designed for people with big hands. Unfortunately, short of taking the headlight out, thats the only way to do it.

I did it on mine without taking the headlight out...it was a b**ch and i had cuts all over my hand when i was done, but i did get it evenentually

remove the headlamp

then get the bulb out.

guess i am glad i have fairly small hands. I didn't know so many people had trouble changing the light bulb. Takeing the headlamp out is probably the most laborious way to change a bulb.

It's not that hard. Move the PS pump and resevoir out of the way, then use your damn fingers. You people make it sound like brain surgery. Geez.
