3" exhaust suggestions.....
I have ordered a turbo kit (Greddy) and am wondering if I need to upgrade to a 3" exhaust? I have a 2.25 right now with a Thermal axle-back.
If I do need the 3" exhaust, what exhaust would you suggest?
I'd like something quite, throaty, and non-eye catching. I know any N1 style will be loud. I was thinking of the following:
Magnaflow: which model?
Apexi: WS...does it come in 3". Would it still work?
RsR Ex Mag: are there any 3" Rsr exhausts? Will the ExMag work even if its not 3"?
Just not sure if I need the bigger exhaust, and if so, what would be a nice, quiet, throaty, cat-back?
Thanks!
Spike
BTW, my axle back Thermal Classic will be up for sale if I get a 3"!

Will the Apexi Gt or Turbo N1 be loud? I've heard some that were, and others weren't.
I wouldn't mind another Thermal. Where can I buy Thermal exhausts?

I kinda have a bad standing with the local cops. They know I don't street race or drive aggressivly, but I don't need a BOV and a loud exhuast to add to anything.
But if I have to, I'll do a custom 3" piping with a N1 canister.

3 inches is big for that turbo kit expecially since the downpipe itself is a little over 2 inches...
u want more power, upgrade the downpipe and a high flow cat and then a 3 inch cat back

I think that you will be alright with your 2.5" piping. If you have too much room then you can loose power. If you do decide to upgrade then go for the Magnaflow.
