I think you need to have a driver's license. That's about it I'm sure of.
Stock class:
Stock class:
- cat back exhaust
- shocks (same height as stock)
- DOT R tires on stock sized wheels within 1/4" off set
- any brake pads
- rotors same as stock
- spark plugs
- spark plug wires
- any fluids
- 4 or 5 point harness
- front sway bar
- cars made before I think 1995 you are allowed to replace the steering wheel with one a tad smaller (forget how small)
- K&N filter element (same size as stock)

If you are under 18 you have to have your parents sign off because you are a minor and they are probably registered as the owners. All because of liability and insurance.

Cat back exhaust will not do much for autocross except sound cool

falken azenis (195/60/14) on stock steelies
and then get some performance classes and drive a season with this setup before slappin in a swap and a sweet setup
what u think?
also.. do u think a small turbo that spools really low would be good for autocross?
what kind of psi would a turbo like taht be running?

k&n is fine in the stock airbox
tires are fine on the stock steelies
not sure turbo cars are really that good for autox.
i wouldn't worry about adding power until you become good enough for nationals.

I was having fun in Bstock. but I had an opportunity to get some more camber without spending a penny. So i did.
When i was trying to decide my good buddy asked me if I was competitive in B stock? I said no. So he said then don't be competitive in ASP.
I said ok! that makes sense and I'll still have fun and have a better handling car.
If you aren't worried about competiting then it doesn't matter what the rules are.
Also for the swap, ask the engine tech guys. But I would still not add power for while.

That is true about if you don't care and just want to have fun then it doesn't matter what you do to the car.
But in my experience with being a novice instructor your learning level increases ten fold if you start out in a slower car and work your way up on power and speed. Guys who have these $50,000 Corvettes get all frustrated when someone like me in a $16.5K Civic can beat them in raw times
