Default Honda Accord Engine Prob

Hey people, I have a 94 lx that has a problem with the engine. I put my foot on the gas, and the engine is revving, but it is not putting the power to the wheels, hence the car will go nowhere, but you can hear the engine revving. Sometimes it goes just fine, but sometimes it doesn't. Has this ever happened to anybody else? If it helps, the engine is fairly new since it was put in when it only had about 25,000 miles on it, and I have only driven it about 10,000 since I've had it. The only thing on it that is extra is an AEM intake.

sounds like your tranny is dying. check your tranny fluid level, preferably you want to flush and refill. if that dont solve it, your torque converter may be toast.

IMO, from what i can gather is that the fluid is not able to flow properly to spin inside the stall converter and eventually get the tranny and engine spinning at the same speed to lock up and drive the wheels.

if you need a clear explanation of how an autotranny works so that you can imagine my diagnosis, check out www.howstuffworks.com

Ok thanks. Guess I will take it to a quicklube somewhere around here and if that doesn't work just take it to a transmission shop
