Default Side Skirt Painting Question

I'm about to paint my silver 01 Gsr's side skirt.I have a quick question about if the paint will stick on to the black plastic material. Iknow this guy a a respectable body works place, he said he will get it done for me at the price of 50 bucks. I'm like great once i heard that but, am i going to have problems in the future with the paint chiping or something like that.

Should i have the side skirt scard up a lilltle before the paint?

Should I just let the shop paint the side skrit and not worry about it?

If you guys know hit me back!

im bout to do the same to my 01 ls. if i found a shop that would do it for 50$ i would take it to them. if u want to do it yo self its not that hard. sand it down with a nice fine paper. prep it about 3 or so coats and u should be fine.

is that shop charging 50$ plus paint or do u already have the paint. it may be even cheaper if u bring the paint

i did mine myself and it came out pretty good-- what i did was sand it down, then used paint thinner to get all the excess dirt off, then primered it and painted it-- i only used a little less than 2 cans of paint. here's a pic of my car
