most of its competition is around 3,500lbs but you also have to take into considertion most other mfgrs give the weight of a unloaded car as they have all the option packages where acura sells all in one...take that g35 and add all the goodies and its a good 3,800-3,900lbs about 300-400lbs heavier than the tl...but with rwd it helps mask that weight and fwd can create the evil push of understeer with bad suspension tuning...(in fact all new cars sold today all understeer due to various litigation over the years...understeer is the easiest way to control a skid)
Maybe I'm missing something, but the curb weight of the G35 is

Base model (A/T)
3,336 lbs

Leather model (A/T)
3,369 lbs

Leather 6MT model
3,398 lbs

What options are there that would add
402 - 464 or
502 - 564 lbs worth of weight

Please go look at the torque number for the 330i, C320, A4 3.0, Jag X-Type 3.0, Saab 9-3 Arc, IS300, ES300 and tell me what is this 'lack of torque' you speak of. And while your at it, look at the hp numbers and notice how wide of a spread it is from theirs to 270. :slap:
I agree. The only car in that class that I can think of off the top of my head with more torque is the G35 w/260. Honda usually does a good job with the gearing of their cars to get maximum performance out of them. So I don't think that the TL's torque numbers will hinder it at all.

look at the sport sedan packages and sport suspension packages...the weights you posted are ony for the base car with or without leather

best way is to get a car corner weighted from a real owner and not the mfgrs weight...my pr5 was suppose to weigh 2700lbs but wound up being 2850lbs stock!

Typical C&D preview...they rave about the interior and stats, and then dismiss it for being FWD. Just like the TSX. But then the full review comes...
