It shouldn't. The only thing that connects the two is your drive shaft. As long as that didn't blow up (which normally a blown engine has to do with pistons/valve issues), then your transmission should be fine. If the shifter doesn't engage into any of the gates, you will have a problem, but that's the best way to tell!

well the guy that had it before me just slapped a turbo on and im guessin just revved the f_ck outta it but yea when i got it i pulled one of the piston rods all the way out thru the hole! yea obviously this guy didnt know wut he wus doin b/c he still had stock pistons(which i think the compression is WAYY to high for a turbo), and stock fuel rail. soo yea when he moved out he just left his integra here and took his escalade. and since then it has just sat there. soooo after 30 days the car was turned over to the manager of the apartments (my mom lol) and she didtn want it so its mine now but it needs alot of work done too it
