Default UH OH, just a rare coincidence or is honda slipping???

Wow, my mom's car (2003 CR-V EX) is barely 7 months old and guess what??? The starter just died! or as the honda guy said "it was frozen and you won't be getting your car back for a while." 7-10 days just to import the damn part....interesting. Well the good news is that they are giving her a loaner car which has yet to be picked...(come on s2000 ). Heh what were the odds of a brand new starter going???

just because it has a honda emblem on it doesn;t mean its a flawless product and something wont occasionally go wrong. this is what warrenties are for

Yeah no ones really mad, even the honda tech was suprised when he found the problem. Its just usually starters don't die for a while but its all good cuz its still under warrenty....but i don't remember seeing anything about a recall

cars are delivered 99.99% perfect according to the manufacturer.. and with about 20,000 parts that leaves 20 faulty

Keep in mind..... mass production does not always product 100% all perfect products. You might have just got a bad one from the start.

Just one bad one does not mean that honda is now as good as chevy :chuckles:

Nobody is perfect.

Honda's typically have problems with the starters. They are probably the part most likely to go bad. Even a Ferrari Dealership has a repair shop. :bandito:
