American Honda has selected environmental consulting firm Gladstein, Neandross & Associates (GNA) to promote the 2012 Civic Natural Gas. GNA will work with Honda to market the natural gas-fueled Civic in 19 states across the Midwest, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.

Newly redesigned for 2012, the Honda Civic Natural Gas (formerly known as the Honda Civic GX) is currently available to order in 33 states and will be offered to consumers in five additional states by the end of the 2011.

Purchase incentives, currently pending under legislation HR 1380, the NAT GAS Act, would make the Civic Natural Gas an attractive option for consumers. The NAT GAS Act, if approved, will provide tax credits for vehicle and fuel purchases, as well as for CNG refueling stations.

The Civic Natural Gas is the only OEM-built, compressed natural gas passenger vehicle assembled in the U.S. Additionally, the CNG-burnin' Civic is certified by the EPA to meet both Federal Tier 2 Bin 2 and Inherently Low Emission Vehicle (ILEV) standards, the later of which means the Civic Natural Gas gets to wear California's coveted white sticker.
