S2000...
OK here's the scoop- my mom came to me for insight on the purchase of a new car. She lives alone and likes 2 seaters. She went to look at the Ford Thunderbird and liked it but it was a bit too expensive for her at $40K (and not to mention a hunk of crap IMO). So I talked her into checking out an S2000. After checking out prices and dimensions on-line it has made the top 3 list of cars she wants to test drive.
Can anyone here give me some pointers and what to look for when purchasing an S2000? Are there any known issues or problems I should watch out for?

Old people, hell...my dad drives an S2K daily in the summer and he's 50. I know a 65 year old that has an S2000.
My entire opinion on what car she should get is based on the fact that her first choice was a FORD THUNDERBIRD. Do you really think she cares about performance or handling?

She bought the S2000.
She bought a silver S2000 and loves it. We both hated the Z4, over priced.
She liked the T-Bird at first because she wanted some performance in a convertable car but for the price it was just not worth it ($40K). She then began looking into roadster type cars and asked me to assist her in finding the best one. IMO it was the S2000 but we looked at others too. The S2000 just drove better to her than the others and was ten grand cheaper than a T-Bird. As I said she loves it and I feel better than having her scoot around in an overpriced Z4 or hulking road beast like the T-Bird- ****ing ugly IMO.
