Default Need new speakers for doors, and rear...

Okay, my panasonic deck is in the mail right now. (Panasonic CQ-DFX983U) Anyways, I want some new door speakers, and rear speakers. Are they 5 1/4? and 6x9's in the rear? Anyways, what are some good speakers? and a good place to buy them? I want something I can just put in myself, no modifications. I've been thinking about the alpine type S...those any good? I'm ready to buy them, so help me out guys. thanks.

You have 6 1/2 in the doors, tweeter in the dash, and 6x9's in the back. How much are you willing to spend on the front and rears total?

No no...100 for the pair. So around 200 total. or just give me some options on how much good ones go for. I dont really want to go to cartoys, or an audio place and have them BS with me, and have them overcharge me. since I'm sure I can get something offline for a lot less.

Well, I'd spend $200 just on the front components since you'd want to retain your component setup. And leave the factory 6x9's unless if they're blown. You don't want to take your component setup to a coaxial setup. You get worse sound imaging and your high's won't be as good as an aftermarket componet set. Go to www.groupbuycenter.com or go buy used speakers that were put on for like a month or less. But definitely DO NOT go from components to coaxials. So go get your fronts before your 6x9's in the rear. The stock 6x9's aren't too bad so I'd concentrate on getting the best front component set as possible.

P.S. Your front door woofers are 6.5" but I don't know how big your tweeters are. They're probably 1". So replace both!

go infinity like me . I paid (at circuit city) around $90 or so for the 6 1/2's (2 way)and I think around $130 on the 6x9's (3 way), that was about 4 months ago, last I saw they were down about $20. they sound damn good too, I dont have an amp, but they hit hard still, very good sound quality. Try to get the Infinity Kappa's if they are down in price yet. Check www.sounddomain.com and www.crutchfield.com , from what I hear they are both good, and look to have good prices.

www.sounddomain.com and www.crutchfield.com sell at retail level prices, it's the same as buying it at your local store.

If you want good stuff dirt cheap, but from OnlineCarStereo.com or CBRstereo.com

Both are great companies to deal with.

Check out www.crutchfield.com They will tell you what fits your car best.....Because not every speaker fit's in factory mounts.....

They let you know what model or brands fit and or give you the new mounting brackets with them.....

Check it out...
