AEM pads for 2000 Accord
I'm asking this for my friend, he has a 2000 Accord Special Edition, he's thinking aboout replacing the front pads with these AEM High Performance Brake Pads. Are they good for mostly street use? Are they better than OEM pads? Where is a good place to buy them? Thanks.

I have a set of these out back--I can't tell a difference.
I have EBC upfront--they make alot of dust but heat up too quickly.
I would recommend a Hawk HPS or some other pad first.
On the plus side the AEM's don't dust like the EBC's.

The AEM pads are less harsher on the rotors than most other aftermarket pads out there.
They create less brake dust.
Have less brake fade and last a tad bit longer depending on driving technique.
If you plan on purchasing a set, they can be had fairly cheaply @ www.groupbuycenter.com
Since the pads are coming off you might want to look into purchasing a set of rotors too as they can be put in for next to nothing (labor wise). Rotors are also available at discounted prices at the link above.
A good combination for less money is to go with Brembo blank rotors and AEM pads. A total package can be had for $160 + shipping for the front set.
Hope that was of some help.
